Beschreibung

This course is offered to those who also attend the course on Melmoth the Wanderer and wish to complete the second component of the SI- or I-Modul. Starting with Melmoth the Wanderer we are going to look at the various names given to God and the Devil in the course of English history. Our investigation will involve historical semantics as well as the history of religious discourses. Participants are requested to read short papers and sit an oral exam.
